Rob counsels companies in the areas of business law, nonprofit law, corporate contracts and transactions. His experience also includes employment law, trademark, copyright and litigation. In addition to his business practice, Rob provides estate planning for families, including special needs planning for families that have a member with disabilities or mental health challenges. If necessary, he works with the family to obtain guardianship over a loved-one in need of protection.
Working collaboratively with business clients, Rob draws on his experience as a private attorney and an in-house counsel for the Anti-Defamation League and Foundation to provide forward looking and cost effective advice. For privately held companies and nonprofits, Rob often serves as their outside general counsel. He is very effective at taking into account an organization’s goals and stakeholders.
Rob also devotes much time to serving his community and is active on many community boards throughout Rockland County. He brings this passion for community and service into play when working with individual clients dealing with challenges, such as planning for a family member with disabilities or mental health challenges, as well as their estate planning.
He is proud to be a graduate of the Leadership Rockland program and in 2012 he was named to Rockland County’s “Forty Under Forty,” a program sponsored by the Rockland Economic Development Corporation.
Rob graduated with a B.A., cum laude from Binghamton University, State University of New York and went on to Rutgers University School of Law where he served as an editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion. He also earned a Raimondo Fellowship through the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.
He served as appellate law clerk to the Honorable Sylvia B. Pressler, the Presiding Judge for Administration for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Rob is admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
